Every year around this time I get spring fever. I want to go out on my balcony and replant my herbs and flowers, open the windows at night, and spend the day hunting for Easter eggs with my niece and nephew. Unfortunately there are still another 6 weeks of winter, so for now I will have to sit tight and simply enjoy the planning for spring.
Welcome to Hyggeligt Hjem og Køkken. When I first created this website, I focused primarily on furniture and home design. Now that I am a new mama and my family has grown, the site has expanded to a lifestyle blog focused on Scandinavian styles with information on great recipes, design, crafts and travel tips. I hope you enjoy :).

Things that keep me cozy during a snowstorm
I have never been one to clear the shelves at the grocery store when there has been a storm predication. That being said, I do still want to make sure I have a few essentials for a cozy weekend in the apartment. The things on my list include candles, lots and lots of them, ingredients to make baked goods, fresh veggies to prepare tons of delicious meals and of course plenty of wine and bubbly. I love the snow, and luckily Nemo stopped early enough so that I could go for a quiet walk in the woods.
