It is all about the lighting

Above are just a few examples of some Scandinavian candle holders. No matter what material you love, there will always be something to fit your setting from glass to concrete.

I grew up in a home where when the sun went down, candles were lit. My mom always knew how to create a warm feeling with candle light and a dimmer switch. There are many Scandinavian artisans out there who make both gorgeous candles, and candle holders. The classic designs can be found in most Scandinavian homes; these same designers are constantly updating their look to keep the design fresh. I have candles all over my home, it changes the way the whole place feels at night; above are just a few examples.

The art of Scandinavian glass

Here are a few examples of some of the art glass found in my own home. The first piece is from a local artisan in Gotland, Sweden. The Vase is by Kosta Boda based in Sweden and the small bowls are from Holmegaard out of Denmark. Each piece is hand made; painted, and signed, which says to me that they are proud of the art they are creating. Below is a glass worker at Orrefors in Sweden.
