Baskets

I've found that recently I've been buying a lot of baskets. Baskets for baby clothes; baskets for throw blankets or dog toys. Here are a few of my favorite baskets/boxes.

Fall entertaining

The weather is getting cooler in the mornings here in New York and I love it. Fall means cozy knits, roaring fires, the smell of leaves on the ground, and candlelit dinners. I am looking forward to getting moved next week and finding our new home in the next few months. It will be so nice to get settled into a new place, make new friends and enjoy their company over a good meal, and a nice table setting, ;).

Quilts

I had a picnic today in the park with some old colleagues/friends. We were discussing how having a creative outlet outside of work, something that is just for yourself is such a rewarding, and therapeutic thing. Knitting and baking have always been my outlets when I felt stressed or overwhelmed, for one of my old colleagues her outlet is quilting.

Making a quilt is the perfect activity for the fall and winter, however if quilting isn't your thing,  some of these beauties are off the shelf, and just as cozy. Happy Sunday!

Life lately

Things have been pretty crazy over here lately, leaving me with no time to write. We are in the final push of getting our apartment ready to be rented out in three weeks, and had another home fall through upstate.

Sometimes you have to slow down and finish one thing before you rush into another. We decided to rent month to month, and slowly figure out our next move upstate. We are planning to live very minimally leaving most of our things in storage so we don't unpack to pack again. Im looking for some inspiration today on how to live with much much less.

I've also been busy cranking out knits (while Christian sleeps) to start selling my own baby knits and finally put them all on a little etsy shop yesterday, which was taking up every second of my down time. Now I can knit a little slower and refocus my attention elsewhere.

Deep breaths.

All of our outdoor and indoor plants will have to come with us.
It will look a lot like this. :)

We plan to use our balcony table and chairs for dining.
