We are going to be moving into a house sometime in the next few months, from a small apartment. As someone who loves furniture and home accessory shopping this has me excited, because that means I have a new space to decorate. My husband has reminded me that, just because I am going to be moving into more space, does not mean that a furniture shopping spree is in my future, though I wish it were.
We will need more furniture, however my husband has challenged me to furnish with quality pieces we will keep, but on a moderate budget. I am up for the challenge and began my first hunt yesterday while visiting my parents in New Hampshire. My mother and I drove out to the antique shops along route 4 and found some gems. I picked up a beautiful solid wood pine dresser for Christian's room for $150 bucks, a gorgeous vase for $10 and several other great pieces for next to nothing.
I plan to hit some more antique and thrift shops over the next few months to start collecting for the new home. These were some of our favorite stops from yesterday.
